Naomi King Biden, President Biden’s 28-year-old granddaughter, got married to her longtime boyfriend Peter Neal on the South Lawn of the White House. This was the 19th wedding to take place at the White House since its establishment over 200 years ago.
The President and First Lady expressed their joy and pride in watching Naomi’s growth and success and welcomed Peter into their family. They wished the couple a lifetime of laughter and love.
For the wedding, Naomi and Peter, both lawyers, chose a modern yet classic style. Naomi’s Ralph Lauren gown was inspired by Grace Kelly’s iconic wedding dress from 1956. While Naomi’s dress didn’t have buttons like Grace’s, her veil was even more dramatic, likely to inspire a trend of long veils in the future.
Peter looked impeccable in a navy suit by Ralph Lauren.
Both the bride and groom wore jewelry from Tiffany, including wedding bands made of platinum and diamonds.
Naomi added a touch of sparkle to her wedding gown with Tiffany Victoria earrings featuring South Sea pearls and diamonds. These earrings were similar to the ones Jennifer Lopez wore at her wedding to Ben Affleck.
Naomi’s engagement ring, from the jeweler Shah & Shah in Washington, D.C., was an elegant emerald-cut diamond ring. It resembled the engagement ring worn by Grace Kelly.
She also wore a Tiffany diamond and platinum wedding band given to her by Peter during the ceremony.
Peter wore a Schlumberger for Tiffany Single Daisy Brooch in platinum and yellow gold with diamonds. This brooch echoed the flower pattern in Naomi’s dress and added a stylish touch. His wedding band was a Tiffany Essential Band Double Milgrain Ring in platinum with a diamond.
